Dear Remix Family,
We hope this message finds you well. It’s been such a privilege to connect with so many talented young singers and their families over the years through Remix Vocal Academy.
After much reflection and discussion, we unfortunately must share the bittersweet news that Remix Vocal Academy has been indefinitely suspended. This decision was not made lightly. Over the last year, we've explored every possible avenue we could to continue the camp. Ultimately, this decision was influenced by BYU’s choice to discontinue their support for Remix as part of their ongoing adjustments to summer program offerings.
While this news is undoubtedly disappointing, we want to emphasize how grateful we are for the years of partnership with BYU that made Remix possible. Their support allowed us to create truly unforgettable experiences for our ReMixers and build a vibrant community of young artists and music lovers.
Though Remix has come to a close, we are excited to share a new opportunity for aspiring vocalists. BYU has created a new camp called "Y We Sing", which will carry forward the tradition of celebrating and developing young vocal talent. This new camp will be led by Carson Trautman, former Remix camp director and current director of Vocal Point and Noteworthy. Under Carson’s leadership, "Y We Sing" promises to provide a fresh, inspiring experience while continuing to nurture young singers’ growth and passion for music.
We encourage all former and aspiring Remix participants to consider this incredible new program. We’re confident it will uphold the same standard of excellence and creativity that made Remix special. If interested, you can find more information at: https://ywesing.ce.byu.edu/home
Thank you for being such an important part of the Remix family. While it’s hard to say goodbye to this chapter, we hope you’ll cherish the memories we created together and look forward to seeing the legacy of Remix live on through the remarkable talent and passion of our community.
